The Thyroid Test contains a requisition form, blood collection tubes, safety needles, tourniquets, a 2×2 piece of gauze, a single-use alcohol wipe, a pair of gloves, bandages, two ice packs, barcode tube labels, a biohazard bag, a padded pouch, a shipping label, and a UPS/FedEx shipping envelope.
The Thyroid Test detects four key thyroid biomarkers, including Free T4, Total T3, Total T4, and TSH.
Related symptoms of hyperthyroidism, or an overactive thyroid, include tiredness and fatigue, unexplained weight loss, anxiety or irritability, increased heart rate, sensitivity to heat, excessive sweating, irregular menstrual cycles, trouble sleeping, eye irritation and vision problems, an enlarged thyroid gland, muscle weakness and tremors, and frequent bowel movements. Related symptoms of hypothyroidism, or an underactive thyroid, include tiredness and fatigue, unexplained weight gain, hair loss, forgetfulness, depression, irregular menstrual cycles, dry or coarse hair and skin, sensitivity to cold, and constipation.
